Welcome to our new subscribers! Micro-Mail is
the news and application e-mail which reports the
scope of possibilities for Micro-Fluidization. Our
customers lubricate better, consume less, and save
money in their processes.
We are pleased to see new readers each month. As
companies continue to search for innovative ways to
cut costs and improve operations, lubrication is an
increasingly important factor. Efficient, productive,
environmentally responsible lubrication has been our
main business for over 50 years. We consider it a
privilege to assist industrial companies with our
solutions.
In this issue, some basic information about
Near Dry Machining / MQL is available for Internet
viewing. Detailed questions will receive prompt
response from your local UNIST representative or our
engineering / manufacturing facility in Grand Rapids,
MI.
We look forward to working with you!

Cordially, Larry

Video - Minimum Quantity Lubrication Basics
Modern Machine Shop Online - December 2008
An instructional video by Todd Schuett, an industrial
media producer with a passion for manufacturing
technology is located in the MMS online site. The
video explains basics of single channel MQL and
demonstrates how to adjust settings and locate
nozzles on simple systems. It also discusses the
interactions between small amounts of lubricant
and some materials and tooling.
While the video's focus is basic external atomized
spray, it also briefly discusses Thru-Tool MQL. The
video features UNIST MQL Systems as part of the
demonstrations within the video.
UNIST manufactures a variety of nozzle technologies
for external spray as well as systems for Thru-Tool
applications. UNIST also provides adapters for
connection to Thru Spindle applications.
UNIST systems can dispense vegetable based, water
based and synthetic fluids at both high and low
pressure. UNIST MQL systems for Thru-Tool
integrate with multiple styles of tool holders for coolant
fed tooling.
