    Manufacturing Engineer Andreas Rueter discusses problem solving issues related to roll forming tooling machinery and lubrication. He focuses on the importance of lubricant selection and usage given material considerations.

    UNIST agrees with Mr. Reuter's comments on the importance of lubrication as an engineering decision and not simply a function of purchasing. Additionally, UNIST roll forming lubrication methods (see Uni- Roller system in photo above) can eliminate the waste management and recycling referred to in the article.

    UNIST Enviroleaf Wal-Mart's Green Manufacturing Pressures Impact China
    Business Week May 2009

    Business Week Energy and Environment Editor Adam Aston reports on Wal-Mart's green initiatives for components manufacturers, assembly plants and distributors. He specifically cites the company's efforts to bring their Chinese suppliers into compliance.

    These efforts will certainly improve China's environmental practices and make them more competitive as manufacturers. Wal-Mart believes this will ultimately lead to cost savings for their retail customers.
